About Film Buff's Verdict

Launched in January 2024, Film Buff's Verdict is a website that provides film critiques of new and old films as well as commentary on awards buzz.
Why did I name the site, Film Buff's Verdict? Well, I'm a film buff and a lawyer by trade who considers The Oscars to be the Super Bowl. Oh well, maybe I'm the only one who finds it funny along with some of the other headings on this site.
Film Buff's Verdict provides a Logic Score and Heart Score within each film's verdict. A Logic Score focuses on the technical pieces of the film while the Heart Score sums up how the film made me feel afterwards. Why? Because sometimes a poorly made film can be fun and uplifting, while a prestige film can be boring and generic.
Film Buff's Verdict also provides commentary on awards season buzz and predictions specifically for Screen Actors Guild Awards and The Academy Awards. Why? Because the Golden Globes don't matter.
